Arth remake: Swara Bhasker and Jacqueline Fernandez to reprise the iconic roles

The 1982 film Arth is one of the most iconic film featuring the two divas of early eighties, Shabana Azmi and Smita Patil.

Mahesh Bhatt directed the 1982 film while Revathi will direct its remake, where Swara Bhasker will step into Shabana Azmi’s shoes and Jacqueline Fernandez will take on Smita Patil’s role in the film.

The original film revolved around complex emotions like infidelity, insecurity and love between a young married couple played by Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Shabana Azmi.

The couple’s married life gets ruined after the entry of Patil, whose charm allures Kharbanda and he falls in love with her. Azmi gets to know about Kharbanda’s extra marital affair and hence ends the marriage and lives alone. Patil, on the other hand seems very happy to start his life with Kharbanda but over time becomes insecure after realizing she broke his happy marriage.

In the remake, Jacqueline will play the leading lady and while Swara will play the second lady in the film butThere is still no news as to who will replay the role of actor Kulbhushan Kharbanda.

According to reports, both actor are very happy with their roles and the concept of the film. They are very excited to work in the film. Their fans eagerly await the remake to get released.
