Chinese National Held By BSF Along India-Bangladesh Border

The Chinese national intercepted by the Border Security Force (BSF) along the India-Bangladesh international border in West Bengal’s Malda, visited India four times before, news agency ANI reported.

After interrogating him for hours, the BSF said that the Chinese intruder revealed his name as Han Junwe, a resident of Hubei, China.

From interrogation and recovered passport, it was learnt that he reached Dhaka, Bangladesh on 2 June on a business visa, and stayed there with a Chinese friend, the BSF said.

According to the BSF, he came to Sona Masjid in Chapainawabganj (Bangladesh) on June 8 and stayed there. On 10 June, when he was trying to enter inside the Indian territory, he was caught by the BSF troops.

The Chinese intruder told that even before this he had come to India four times. He had come to Hyderabad in 2010 and Delhi, Gurugram thrice after 2019. He said his business partner was caught by ATS Lucknow.

“Due to the case registered against him, he didn’t get an Indian visa in China. He got a visa from Bangladesh & Nepal to come to India. In the electronic equipment found from him, many facts can be found that he was working in India for which Chinese Intelligence Agency,” BSF said.

As per the officials, one laptop, 3three mobiles, Indian, Bangladeshi, US currency, one Chinese Passport with Bangladeshi visa and few electronic gadgets have been recovered from the man.
