Met Gala, the biggest night of fashion fiesta is returning.
The Met Gala 2022 will be held on 2nd May, as per the tradition of hosting on the first Monday of May. The venue will be, as always, the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Last year the Gala calendar was postponed to September due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but 2022 sees it fall on the now traditional day.
This year is titled ‘America: An Anthology of Fashion,’ is the second of a two-part series honoring American fashion at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The first part, titled ‘America: A Lexicon of Fashion,’ came in September.
The theme for this year’s event is ‘Gilded Glamour,’ which is inspired by New York’s Gilded Age, which occurred from 1870 to 1890. The period of history in America is known for huge economic growth.
Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Regina King, and Lin-Manuel Miranda are the official co-chairs of the Met Gala 2022. Designer Tom Ford, head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, and Vogue’s Anna Wintour will remain as honorary co-chairs.
Fans from all around the world are waiting with bated breath for a glimpse of the event’s famous red carpet costumes. And now, they can watch the event live on Vogue’s official live stream.
The Met Gala live broadcast will begin at 6 p.m. ET, while 3:30 a.m. IST, on Tuesday; It will be broadcasted on all the digital platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
