Washington: Film legend Robert Redford is set to receive Chaplin Award 2015 for his work towards independent filmmakers.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 78-year-old actor has been chosen by the Film Society of Lincoln Center to give their 42nd annual Chaplin Award.
Ann Tenenbaum, the group’s chairman asserted that the Board was “thrilled” to have Redford as the next recipient of the Chaplin Award.
Tenenbaum added the film world was immensely richer because of actor’s contributions. The award will be handed out at a gala event at Lincoln Center in April, 2015.
