Begum Jaan : Pre Release Trivia

Date:

The high profile and much talked about Vidya Balan starrer is definitely something to watch out for.

Vidya Balan plays the madam of a brothel which happens to get embroiled in the India Pakistan partition, happening to fall bang on the dividing line. How these women stand together refusing to let go of their premise and life is what this film is made of.

With the backdrop of partition, the story woven around life of these women sure seems an interesting plot. It also has an interesting sub cast including Naseeruddin Shah,Gauhar Khan etc promising us some great performances.

The biggest reason seems the impressive filmography of director Srijit Mukherji. All his 9 films made so far have been critically acclaimed and received well by the audience.
His film Jaatishwar won 4 National Awards. He won theBest Director and Best Original Screenplay for his film Chotushkone. His film Rajkahini of which Begum Jaan is a remake was the official selection at 12 International Film Festivals.

The bombastic trailers and dialogues give us an inkling of a bold and hard hitting film.

Catch the trailer.. and u wouldn’t want to wait ..
