Local Congress leader Raj Narayan Singh was shot dead on Saturday in Azamgarh area of Uttar Pradesh.
Ramnarayan Singh is known as one amongst the veteran leaders of Congress and he had also contested assembly elections from lalganj.
ADM official Ashutosh Dwivedi said a special team has been formed to investigate the case and police officials are also conducting raids to nab the killer.
