Interpol Issues Red Notice For 19-Year-Old Indian Gangster

Date:

New Delhi: A 19-year-old from Haryana has been indicted by Interpol on charges of criminal conspiracy and multiple attempted murders. Interpol has taken action against Yogesh Kadian who is from Beri village in Haryana’s Jhajjar district by issuing a Red Corner Notice.

According to the report, Yogesh who relocated to the United States two years ago, is reportedly one of the leaders who is in charge of taking down rival gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s operations.

Currently associated with the Babinha gang in the US, Kadian is known for his expertise in advanced weaponry. He had fled to the US as a juvenile, using a forged passport when he was 17. After the National Investigation Agency (NIA) cracked down on gangster-terror networks, many criminals, like Yogesh Kadian, have either gone underground or escaped India using fake passports.

Interpol’s notice lists charges of “criminal conspiracy, attempted murder, collective actions to achieve a common objective, and possession and use of prohibited firearms and ammunition” against him. A reward of ₹1.5 lakh has been offered for information leading to Kadian’s whereabouts. A Red Notice, as issued by Interpol, is a global request to law enforcement agencies to locate and temporarily detain a person pending legal actions such as extradition or surrender; it does not function as an international arrest warrant.

Sources suggest that Kadian has connections with the Bambiha gang and Khalistani terrorists. To investigate these links, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) recently conducted raids on his residence and known hideouts in India.

In a related case, another Indian gangster, 25-year-old Harbhej Singh from Amritsar, Punjab, is also on Interpol’s wanted list. He faces charges related to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985, as well as the illegal possession of firearms.

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is currently in an Ahmedabad jail facing drug smuggling charges being investigated by the NIA. He is also a suspect in the murder case of singer Sidhu Moosewala. Recently, Bishnoi made headlines by claiming responsibility for the killing of Khalistani terrorist Sukhdool Singh in Canada, also known as Sukha Duneke, who was a victim of inter-gang violence in Canada.
