A Facebook user posted the viral video with a caption: ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಬೆಲೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೇನನ್ನು ನೀರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ? (English translation: What else can we expect in the BJP programme where there is no value for the poor?

Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes to check the authenticity of the viral claim, we identified a tweet by a journalist, Charan Teja, published on October 27, 2022.
The tweet contains the exact video which is viral now, and informs that it was shot ahead of the Munugode bye-poll, where people from the lower caste were served meals on carton straps (Attalus) at Golla-Kuruma caste meet organised by the TRS.
We found the same video tweeted by the BSP president, Dr. RS Praveen Kumar, criticizing the TRS government for such treatment of the lower caste people at their event.
An article on the official website Eenadu — the largest circulated Telugu-language daily newspaper, dated October 27, 2022 — informs that the video is from the Golla-Kuruma Athmiya Sammelan, organised by the TRS in Manneguda, near Hyderabad, Telangana. Due to a massive turnout of people, the organisers could not arrange for plates for everyone, so some of the people had to eat from cardboard straps.
