Gurgoan: A day after the heinous terror attack in a school in Peshawar, the HUDA Metro station in Gurgaon was sealed and evacuated after a bomb scare which was later confirmed as a hoax. Initial reports said the bomb squad was present at the location after a phone call by an unidentified source claimed that a bomb had been placed at the venue. The parking area was sealed and the bomb squad were inspecting every car. Fast food chains at the station were also been shut down.Â
Metro services were suspended towards the station.
Eyewitnesses said cars in the metro station parking were being inspected.
While officials are yet to make a formal statement on the issue, it could be a mock drill as the Galleria market had been sealed earlier in the day.
When contacted, the Gurgoan Police Commissioner Navdeep Singh Virk said investigation was underway and refused to comment on the situation.
