PM Modi on Tuesday launched an attack on Kerala’s Left-led government over the entry of women in Sabarimala temple.
” The conduct of Kerala LDF govt on Sabarimala issue will go down in history as one of the most shameful behaviour by any party & govt. We knew that communists do not respect Indian history, culture and spirituality but nobody imagined that they will have such hatred,” he said tearing into the Pinarayi Vijayan led Left Democratic Front (LDF) government.
PM Modi, who was in Kollam for the launch of two projects, also accused the Congress of having multiple stands. ” UDF ( led by Congress) is no better. Congress has multiple stands – they say one thing in Parliament but a different thing in Pathanamthitta. Our stand on this issue has always been clear. And, the actions of our party match our words, ” he added.

UDF and LDF were two sides of the same old coin which were same in corruption, casteism and communalism, Modi alleged.
He also said that the BJP has been clear about its views on the issue. ” The actions of our party match our words. If there is one party that has been at the forefront of standing with Kerala and its culture, it is BJP,” Modi said.
Hitting back on PM’s comments, CPI(M) tweeted- What is shameful is your party leaders defending rapists, what is shameful is BJP leaders defending Sati, AND what is shameful is ruling BJP members defying the country’s top court and Constitution, Mr Modi! Kerala does not need cultural lessons from regressive forces.
