Matías Soulé and Donyell Malen put the Italian side in control, but Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty before Matheus Cunha struck twice late in the game to turn the contest around. Cunha was sent off in stoppage time after receiving a second yellow card.
Barcelona secured a 3-0 victory over Aston Villa, with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha scoring in a comfortable performance. Inter Milan also picked up three points with a 3-0 win against Feyenoord. Yann Bisseck, Pio Esposito and Piotr Zielinski were on target for the Italian side.
