Actor Vijay Sethupathi is set to represent India on the global stage as a presenter at the 54th International Emmy Awards, scheduled to take place in New York City on November 23, 2026.
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter India, Sethupathi has been confirmed as one of the presenters, making him the first Indian artist to present at the prestigious international awards ceremony.
His name was reportedly recommended by International Academy board member Kavita Gupta.
India will also have two nominations at this year’s ceremony. Comedian Vir Das, who previously hosted the International Emmy Awards and won in 2023 for his Netflix special Vir Das: Landing, is nominated again for his 2025 special Vir Das: Fool Volume in the comedy category.
Meanwhile, SonyLIV’s drama series Real Kashmir Football Club, featuring Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Manav Kaul, has secured a nomination in the drama series category.
Sethupathi, known for his role in Farzi, has several upcoming Tamil projects, including Train, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 4, 2026.
