M-taxi launches two-wheeler taxi service in Gurgaon

In a bid to provide better public transportation service, a two-wheeler taxi hailing service was launched today in Gurgaon.

The initial launch in Gurgaon, will be followed with a launch across NCR.

This new bike taxi service introduced by M-taxi Company, can be hailed via its app shortly.

Initially, the company will start with 500 bikes and will charge Rs 25 for the first 3 km and Rs 5 for every subsequent kilometer.

The commercial operations of Baxis-the bike Taxis will start from tomorrow, which is also a ‘Car Free Day’ in Gurgaon.

M-Taxi has taken all the requisite commercial registration and permit from the authorities in Gurgaon to roll out this service.

According to M-Taxi, CEO, Ashutosh Johri, the Company is taking a 360 degree approach to safety.

Last month the company raised angel funding, led by angel investors named Mandeep Singh and Jairaj Singh.

Founded by Arunabh Madhur, the company aims to make last mile connectivity simpler for Indian commuters. It enables the use of technology in creating safe and secure 2-Wheeler taxi services. Before founding M-TAXI, Arunabh co-founded a Media content company, has also worked at senior positions with various Media networks and has created strategies & business models.

The service has started in Gurgaon from metro stations and plans to spread across NCR in the next phase. Passengers can book M-TAXI through its app.
