The Soyuz aircraft blasted off in spectacular fashion on Tuesday mid-night from its launch pad in Kazakhstan. The rocket lifted off at 3:17 am local time, entering orbit about 10 minutes later.  It’s carrying Russian astronauts Alexander Skvortsov and Oleg Artemyev and American Steve Swanson to the International Space Station. An engine problem has delayed their arrival, but NASA say the crew aren’t in any danger. They’re expected to arrive at the Space Station on Thursday night. The new crew will stay in orbit for six months. After the launch and was expected to reach the space station in six hours. All onboard systems were working flawlessly, and the crew was feeling fine.

An ATM in New York dispenses cupcakes that are individually packaged. A sprinkle already operates four other cupcake ATM’s in the US and has opened their fifth machine, Stuff.co.nz reported. The ATM can hold 760 cupcakes at a time, which cost 4 dollars and will be restocked throughout day.

Microsoft has reportedly warned that previewing emails before hitting send could allow hackers gain control of a user’s PC. The software maker said that cybercriminals were actively exploiting a newly discovered Microsoft Word bug that could be exploited to gain remote access of a system. Microsoft is only aware of the limited, targeted attacks against Word 2010, but the bug affects Word 2013, Word 2013 RT, Word 2007, Word 2003, Microsoft Office for Mac 2011, and related programs like Word Compatibility Viewer and Word Automation Services on Microsoft SharePoint Server.

The original artwork from the first two Harry Potter books will be sold at an auction in Los Angeles soon. The artwork was created by Brit artist Cliff Wright in ink and water colour for the covers of 1998’s Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the BBC reported. The Chamber of Secrets artwork has a starting price of 20,000 dollars and features Harry and Ron Weasley in the flying Ford Anglia, with the boy wizard’s owl Hedwig in the back seat. The other sketch, for 1999’s the Prisoner of Azkaban, shows Harry and friend Hermione Granger riding on Buckbeak , whose starting price for bids is 12,500 dollars.
