New Delhi: The 25 Congress MPs who were suspended by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan last week, will rejoin as their five-day ban comes to an end on Monday.
This addition to the Parliament could very well mean that the deadlock might continue, as it has been for the past few days.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu told the Congress that the Opposition has to understand its responsibility.

“It is the duty of the government and the Opposition to run Parliament smoothly. We want the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to function in the coming four days. Four days are left and eight important bills have to passed. The Congress has to understand its responsibility.”

Quick Recap
As soon as the suspension was ordered, Congress’ remaining Lok Sabha members, including Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, protested against it, boycotting the House and staging a dharna in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Parliament House.
To add to it, there’s been a deadlock as the Congress is adamant on its demand for resignations of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Lalit Modi row and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on the Vyapam scam.
Nine parties including Trinamool Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Left, Nationalist Congress Party and Aam Aadmi Party had backed the Congress.
