Two television journalists were on Wednesday shot and killed during a live interview at a lakeside shopping and recreational sports plaza in Moneta, Virginia.
According to latest reports, the man who allegedly killed two journalists, has killed himself.
Suspected shooter transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
WDBJ7 TV reporter Alison Parker, 24, and cameraman Adam Ward, 27, were killed while they were live on TV, in Moneta, Bedford County, station’s general manager, Jeff Marks, said.
Shots were heard, sending the reporter and her source screaming and ducking for cover.
“We do not know the motive. We do not know who the suspect or who the killer is,” Marks said, adding the shooter was still at large.
Moneta is about 40 kilometres southeast of Roanoke, where the television station is based.
