2 teenage girl students drown in Kendrapara in Odisha

Kendrapara (Odisha), Aug 21 (PTI) Two teenage girlstudents both aged about 12, drowned in Kalishipada village inOdishaÂ’s Kendrapara district today. The mishap took place when both the girls reading in7th standard in a local government-run upper-primary schoolwere plucking flowers from a tree near the village communitypond, police said. While plucking flowers, the girls accidentally slippedinto pond and drowned, they said. The victims, according to police, have been identifiedas Sahmita Pati (12) and Laxmipriya Rout (12) The girls raised an alarm.
