Jaya sanctions Rs 42 lakh relief for kin of 14 deceased cops

Chennai, Aug 21 (PTI) Tamil Nadu Chief MinisterJayalalithaa today sanctioned a total sum of Rs 42 lakh asrelief to the families of 14 policemen who had died recently. Jayalalithaa also condoled the death of the policemen,four of whom had died in road accidents in different parts ofthe state. In a statement, Jayalalithaa expressed her sympathieswith the families of the deceased and announced a relief ofRs three lakh to each of them from the Chief Minister’s PublicRelief Fund. PTI SABN
