Summary of observations recorded at 0830 hrs: Western part of the axis of monsoon trough at mean sealevel continues to run close to the foothills of theHimalayas. Its eastern part now passes through Bahraich,Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Ranchi, Puri and thenceEast-southeastwards to northeast Bay of Bengal. The cyclonic circulation extending upto 0.9 km a.s.l.over Bihar and adjoining east Uttar Pradesh now lies over eastUttar Pradesh and neighbourhood. The cyclonic circulationextending upto 5.8 kms a. s. l. over northwest Bay of Bengaland adjoining Odisha now lies over westcentral and adjoiningareas of northwest Bay of Bengal, coastal areas of Odisha andnorth coastal Andhra Pradesh tilting southwestwards withheight. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely toform over westcentral and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengalduring next 24 hrs. The cyclonic circulation extending between1.5 and 3.1 kms a. s. l. over Kutch and adjoining southPakistan now lies over Kutch and adjoining areas of southwestRajasthan and south Pakistan. A western disturbance as anupper air cyclonic circulation at 3.1 kms a. s. l. lies overnorth Pakistan and neighbourhood. System is likely to moveeast-northeastwards. The southwest Monsoon has been active overSub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Chhattisgarh andTelangana. It has been subdued over Gangetic West Bengal,Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan,Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat State, Madhya Maharashtra andMarathwada. PTISDMTIRJMF
