215 cartons of illegal liquor seized, 2 arrested

Muzaffarnagar (UP), Sep 21 (PTI) In a major haul, 215cartons of smuggled liquor worth Rs 12 lakh were recoveredafter two persons were arrested in Sisona village, police saidtoday. A team of excise department intercepted a truck and a caryesterday and seized the cartons, excise officer AkhileshKumar said. Police have registered a case against Vipin Kumar andRavinder under various sections of IPC in this matter, hesaid. The liquor was being smuggled from Haryana toMuzaffarnagar, the officer said.
