6 policemen injured in attack by sand mafia

Muzaffarnagar, Sep 21 (PTI) Six policemen, including twoofficers, were injured when sand mafia attacked them during araid at Gandrao village in Shamli district, police said today. The incident took place yesterday when a police teamseized seven tractor-trolleys loaded with sand, they said. Sub-inspectors Aadesh Kumar and Bachchu Singh andconstables Ankit, Vikas, Shahzad and Dipanshu were injured inthe incident and shifted to a hospital, police said. Police have registered a case against 150 people and named19 in the FIR, they said, adding the accused are absconding.PTI CORR DIP DVDIP
