We’ve lost one of the nation’s finest sons, an embodiment of a progressive vision for 21st century India. He believed in the politics of consensus and conciliation.The art of listening was his forte.

He wanted a strong India but felt no risk was too great if it was for peace.

He was not just a globally respected statesman, but also a wonderful, inspiring boss with a healing, calming touch. It was my unique privilege to have worked in his team for five years.
