Elections 2019: NDA announces Bihar candidate list, Shatrughan Sinha replaced by RS Prasad from Patna Sahib

NDA announces list of candidates in Bihar for Lok Sabha polls. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad to contest from Patna Sahib, while Nawada MP Giriraj Singh has been fielded from Begusarai.

Lok Janshakti Party’s Chandan Kumar will now contest from Nawada. LJP’s Chirag Paswan will contest from Jamui. Ramkirpal Yadav has been fielded from Patliputra, RK Singh from Arrah, Aswani Choubey from Buxar, Radha Mohan Singh from East Champaran, Rajiv Pratap Rudy from Saran.

Earlier, on Friday BJP released it’s second list of 36 candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Maharashtra, Odisha. Girish Bapat to contest from Pune (Maharashtra), Sambit Patra to contest from Puri, Odisha.

On March 21st, BJP on announced its first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will contest from Varanasi again and the party’s national president Amit Shah has replaced veteran leader LK Advani in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh will contest from Lucknow and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will contest from Nagpur as expected. Union Minister Smriti Irani will take on Rahul Gandhi from Amethi again.

Lok Sabha polls, to be held in seven phases across the country, begin April 11 and the counting of the votes will be held on May 23.
