Fact Check: Don’t believe this picture of Pak PM Imran Khan wearing a mask

Amid the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus in China, a picture of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. In the picture, Imran Khan can be seen wearing a mask.

The text on the picture read: “When the virus is spreading but you need a loan.”

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above picture and found it to be FAKE.

On putting the picture through Reverse Image Search, we came across several news articles which featured the original picture in which Imran Khan is NOT wearing any mask.

On further investigation, we found that the picture was originally taken by Associated Press and it is listed on their website.

The picture was taken on April 28th, 2019 when Pakistan Prime Minister visited Beijing.

The above FAKE vs REAL collage confirms that the viral picture is morphed. Moreover, the original picture was taken almost two-yers ago.
