FACT CHECK

NewsMobile did the fact-check, and found it to be fake.

Doing a Google Reverse Image Search, we found a similar image uploaded by NDTV on June 1. 2022, with a caption: “Azam Khan (with red hair) is one of the Samajwadi Party’s tallest Muslim leaders.”

We compared and found that in the original image Azam Khan has hair on his head unlike the image published on social media.

The Hindu also published the image on June 1, 2022 with a caption that reads: “Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav visits party MLA Azam Khan at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi. | Photo Credit: PTI”

Hence, we can ascertain that the viral image is altered. Thus, the claim is fake.
