Many users have shared the image claiming that the man died while protecting the Al-Aqsa mosque in Palestine in the recent Israeli attacks. Many have hailed the man for his deed and called him a martyr for giving his life in saving the mosque.
A Facebook user posted the viral post with a caption: This brother died while protecting Masjid Al-Aqsa Mosque from blast and attacks. Muslims honoured him as a martyr. Look the smile at his face

Running a Reverse Image Search of the viral picture, we traced a blog, Blogspot, titled: ACTIVITIES IN KPTM, dated October 23, 2014. The writer speaks about his experience of attending the Rehlah al-khulud programmes — funeral management, organised by the Facilitator Club KPTM (Kolej Poly-Tech MARA), Kuala Lumpur.
One of the images in the blog matches exactly with the viral image. We also got to know that the programme taught the students about proper Islamic funeral management techniques like bathing, kafan and prayers.
Searching further, we came across a Facebook post on an unverified profile, dated October 11, 2014. The user has mentioned the Rehlah al-Khulud programmes in his caption. The location of the post was also mentioned to be KPTM, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The date of posting of the blog as well as the Facebook post confirms that the image has been online since 2014. So, it cannot be related to the recent attacks on the Al-Aqsa mosque.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the claim by the viral image is false.
