Fact Check: Viral Image Is Edited, The Simpsons Did NOT Predict Rebranding Of Twitter

After Twitter owner Elon Musk announced that the platform would be rebranded and changed its logo to ‘X’, an image started making the rounds on social media, claiming that ‘The Simpsons’ predicted Twitter’s rebranding to X.

Many social media users have shared a screenshot showing the new logo of Twitter with a caption: High-time writers of Simpsons got investigated.

FACT CHECK 

NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found it to be false.

Running the image through Reverse Image Search, the NM team found the original image in an article on Simpsons Wiki. Twitter’s new logo was not found in the original picture.

Searching further, we found that the original image was a screenshot from Season 23, Episode 21 of ‘Ned ‘N Edna’s Blend show.

Hence, it can be concluded that the viral image is edited and ‘The Simpsons’ did not predict any rebranding of Twitter.
