Gurugram: The ethnic violence in Haryana spread through Gurugram after fresh violence was reported in Sector 70 on Tuesday night. During the day, clashes erupted in Gurugram’s Badshapur where shops and restaurants were attacked by the mob.

- Mobile internet services have been suspended temporarily in Nuh till Wednesday.

- According to reports, police registered about 20 cases and over 20 people have been detained in connection with the communal violence.
- Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar expressed deep sorrow over the clashes, urging citizens to prioritise peace and harmony.
- “Today’s incident is unfortunate, I appeal to all the people to maintain peace in the state. The guilty will not be spared at any cost, the strictest action will be taken against them,” CM Khattar tweeted.
- The area is witnessing the throwing of stones and the deliberate torching of cars. To control the situation, the police have resorted to teargas and firing shots in the air. Additional reinforcements have been summoned to aid the situation.
