PM Modi To Chair Union Cabinet Meeting At His Residence On Tuesday

Date:

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to chair a Union Cabinet meeting at his New Delhi residence on Tuesday, November 28.

PM Modi will also chair a Council of Ministers meeting at 6 pm, followed by a Union Council meeting at 8 pm. Both these meetings will be held at the Prime Minister’s residence on 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. The meeting sparks speculation whether the Centre is planning some big move ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Cabinet ministers are assembling to meet the Prime Minister just days before the announcement of Assembly election results for five states – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram.

The meeting takes place ahead of the Winter session of Parliament, which is set to commence on December 4 and conclude on December 22. The government has also announced an all-party meeting scheduled for December 2.

The most recent Union Cabinet meeting took place on September 18 at Parliament Annexe Hall in New Delhi during the special session of Parliament. This particular parliamentary session, inaugurated on September 18, persisted until September 22.

The Cabinet meeting was chaired a few days before the Parliament sessions relocated to a new venue.

Ahead of the recent Union Cabinet session, Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah held discussions with senior ministers, such as Piyush Goyal and Pralhad Joshi. The meeting also saw the participation of BJP national president JP Nadda.
