Vir Das gets own Netflix comedy special

Mumbai, Sep 17 (PTI) Actor-funnyman Vir Das has becomethe first Indian comedian to get his own Netflix originalcomedy special. Global performers like Kevin Hart, Louis CK, Aziz Ansari,Chris Tucker, Bo Burnham, Bill Burr and Russel Peters haveearlier got their own "Netflix Original" comedy specials. Das’ special will soon be filmed in India in the capital. It will be streamed on the Netflix across the globe inover 100 countries. "It’s a gigantic opportunity! Netflix produces ComedySpecials with the biggest comedians out there. I look forwardto being an authentic, Indian voice on that world circuit. "Plus, it’s a multi-city, multi-country Comedy Specialthat’s meant for all audiences. We’ve been planning this for awhile and I’m honoured they have that kind of faith in me.I’ve put a lot of thought into the things I want to say," Dassaid in a statement.
