In what could be a good news for automobile enthusiasts, German automotive giant Mercedes-Benz has launched a range of cabriolet alternatives of the C-Class and the S-Class in India.
Company’s two beauties are the tenth and the eleventh launch of the year from Mercedes-Benz in India.
There will be one more launch from Mercedes-Benz India before the year end. Mercedes-Benz has the highest series of equivalents cars in India. The German manufacturer has traded 9,924 units till date in the calendar year and is expecting to end the year on a high.
The C300 Cabriolet is the smallest convertible on trade and carries the design leads from its sedan sibling albeit with some fresh changes.
The C300 Cabriolet will sport a fabric roof and a different front and rear end. The roof closes down in 20 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h.

It gets a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine which is turbocharged and pumps out the max power of 241bhp along with a peak torque of 370Nm, mated to a 9-speed 9G-Tronic transmission unit. The C300 Cabriolet can hit a top speed of 250 km/h and does the 0-100 km/h dash in just 6.4 seconds.
There will be a host of customisation alternatives and optional facilities on offer as well.
Now, Coming to more luxurious and advanced S500 Cabriolet, the sumptuous, well-appointed convertible sport a powerful 4.7-litre V8 Biturbo engine that puts out the max power of 443bhp and peak torque of 700Nm.
Other than its unique features, it can do the 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.6 seconds and score a maximum of 250 km/h.
The engine on the S500 Cabriolet too is matched to a 9-speed 9G-Tronic transmission unit. As far as the designing is touched, the S500 Cabriolet acquires the design leads from the S-Class Coupe.
The S500 Cabriolet appears with 9 exterior colour alternatives added with 4 colour possibilities for the fabric roof as well. The S500 Cabriolet is the sixth S-Class model to be launched in India.
