FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post and found it to be false.

Putting the picture through Reverse Image Search, we came across a report by The Times Of Israel with the same image dated December 1, 2014.

As per the report, we found that the picture in question was originally taken on December 1, 2014, when PM Netanyahu was sending off his youngest son for his military service in the Israel Defense Forces.

The report also suggested that the picture was taken at Jerusalem’s Ammunition Hill, the location where new recruits from the capital gather before being sent to the Israel Defense Forces induction centre near Tel Aviv.

The report also shows another picture in which PM Netanyahu can be seen standing alongside his wife and their two sons at Jerusalem’s Ammunition Hill.

Several other reports dating back to 2014 were published with the same image

Thus, it is clear from the above findings that the picture in question is old and it has no connection with the ongoing war in Israel.
