Female journalist beaten up in Delhi

Date:

New Delhi: In yet another case of road rage, a female journalist and her friend from a private channel were beaten up in Mayur Vihar area in New Delhi.

According to reports, the journalist and her male friend had a narrow escape when a dumper overtook their Maruti Alto car while they were returning home in Laxminagar after finishing their night shift on Wednesday morning.

Just after this incident, a white Scorpio which was coming from the wrong side hit the journalist’s Alto, resulting in the heated exchange of words between the two.

Apparently, the dumper’s driver which had overtaken the journalist car first, too came and joined the argument. The dumper’s driver and the Scorpio’s driver allegedly started beating both the journalist and her friend.

Police said the miscreants will be nabbed soon as the journalist provided them with the picture of Scorpio’s driver and its number plate.
