It seems trouble is now mounting for Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh just after his marriage. A complaint has been filed against the cricketer at the Akal Takht alleging that Harbhajan had prevented devotees from entering the gurudwara during the wedding ceremony.
According to a report by Indian Express, a local court has sent four bouncers, engaged by Harbhajan Singh, to judicial custody after they were held for allegedly misbehaving with the devotees who came in to click pictures and offer prayers at the Guru Nanak Mission Netraheen Vridh Ashram on Thursday.
Akal Takht is the highest temporal seat of Sikhs.
It has been also reported that the four bouncers, who have been arrested, allegedly misbehaved with photojournalists and tried to break their cameras. It is also said that Harbhajan was forced to come out of his house and apologise to media persons.
Harbhajan Singh and the Bollywood actress Geeta Barsa got married in a gurudwara in Jalandhar, the hometown of the former, on Thursday, after a nine-long-year of courtship.
As planned, a grand reception will also take place in Delhi on Sunday, where cricketers, actors, ministers including Prime Minister Narendra Modi too are expected to be present.
