Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who is under the hammer for the allegations of corruptions in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), has said he will bring a defamation suit against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his party’s allegations of irregularity in the Delhi cricket body. The minister had headed the DDCA for 13 years till 2013.
Besides Kejriwal, Jaitley would file defamation cases against Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha, Deepak Bajpayee.
The Delhi Government had earlier decided to constitute a commission of enquiry to probe the alleged corruption in the DDCA.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to senior advocate Gopal Subramaniam to head the commission.
Finance Minister Jaitley has been accused of corruption by the Delhi Government and former players including Kirti Azad and Bishan Singh Bedi during his tenure as president of DDCA till 2013.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress Party has demanded for the resignation of the Finance Minister from the union cabinet to enable an independent probe against him.
