Indian women’s hockey team faced a massive defeat from Australia 1-6, today at Rio. Team Australia played a beautiful game against India and restricted the scope of dominance for India. Since the match was started Australian team maintained its supremacy over the game. Though team India paid with a lot of grit in the last quarter but that was not enough to secure the match. From the Indian side, Anuradha Devi was the lone goal scorer for India.
It was also a bad day for India shooting contingent as 11 shooters finished their journey in the Rio 2016, 9 out of 11 were unable to clear even qualifying rounds.
