Contractor held for bid to bribe

Ramanathapuram (TN), Aug 20 (PTI) A top district officialtoday caught a contractor red handed while allegedlyattempting to give a bribe of Rs 2,000 to a head clerk at hisoffice in Paramakudi in the district. Police said Paramakudi Sub-Collector G.S.Sameeran on asurprise visit to the office saw the contractor attempting togive bribe to the head clerk for getting some work done.
