MP logs steady rise in tourist footfalls since 2012

Bhopal, Aug 26 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh has witnessed anincrease of 10 per cent in arrival of tourists, both domesticand foreign, in the state since 2012. More than 7.83 crore tourists including 4.21 lakhforeigners visited various places in the state last year,while in 2014, over 6.39 crore tourists including 3.16 lakhforeign nationals visited the state, a Public RelationDepartment official said today. In 2013, the figure stood at 6.33 crore, including 2.80lakh tourists of other countries while in 2012 it was 5.34crore tourists of which 2.75 lakh were foreign nationals, hesaid.
