its staples Hyderabad, Sept 4 (PTI) Hyderabad-based Terra Greens,a start-up focussed on organic food, announced today it willadopt 4000 farmers across Tamil Nadu. Terra Greens Founder and Director Likitha Bhanu madethis announcement at Agrimeet, an event conducted by VITUniversity in association with NABARD and agriculturaluniversity of Vellore, a company release said here. Likitha said, "Our first step is helping these 4000farmers to achieve Organic Farming Certification andDocumentation and expand their prowess to grow organic riceand millets. Tamil Nadu is a rare oasis of organic andsustainable agriculture and we are happy with to welcome 4000new farmers in Terra Greens family. "The biggest benefit of our collaboration is a buyback guarantee from Terra Greens to these farmers. We willtrain and support them in organic agricultural practices." Likitha said adding this effort was part of its growthstrategy to increase the area under rice and milletcultivation. Terra Firma Projects, founded by Likitha Bhanu and hermother in 2013, has tie-up with 2,000 farmers across fivestates to procure organic produce.
