The dream of ‘New-India’ will be fulfilled by 2022: Javadekar

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Working Committee on Day 2 of its National Executive meet, sharpened its attack on the opposition and said, it does not have “neta, neeti and rann neeti (leader, ideology or strategy). It also vowed to build a “New India” by 2022.

“A political resolution moved by Home Minister Rajnath Singh at BJP’s national executive meeting was passed by the Working Committee. It is believed that in this proposal, the dream of ‘New-India’ will be fulfilled. By 2022, India will be free of terrorism, casteism, communalism, and nobody will be homeless,” Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said.

Here are the top 10 points of what Prakash Javadekar said on Day 2 after the BJP’s National Executive meet:

1. The PM has “vision, passion and imagination” and the government’s win in 2019 elections is guaranteed.”

2. After four years in power, PM Narendra Modi has maintained a “70 per cent popularity rate” because he “interacts directly with the people.”

3. “The opposition is frustrated and it neither has leader nor policy; its sole agenda is to stop PM Narendra Modi.”

4. The education minister said that 30 BJP workers have been killed in political violence in Bengal, where the party is not in power. Meanwhile, in Gujarat, the world’s tallest statue of Sardar Patel has been built.

5. In Tripura and Meghalaya, Armed Forces Special Powers Act or AFSPA has been lifted. Terrorism has come down in Jammu and Kashmir. Naxal activities have also declined.

6. The BJP is in power in 19 states with 350 members of Parliament and 1,500 members of state legislative assemblies.

7. India has become the fastest growing economy in the world because of its policies and in the past few months, businessmen have no complaints about the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

8. “There was no discussion about the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya in the National Executive meeting.”

9. When asked about Congress’ allegations on the Rafale fighter jet deal, Javadekar said there is no corruption as “no middleman like Quattrocchi was involved.”

10. A political resolution was presented by home minister Rajnath Singh reaffirming the party’s commitment to building “New India by 2022”.
