While five men were sleeping on a footpath, a speeding car ran over them near an over bridge. The incident happened in Hisar, Haryana early this morning near the Jindal Steel Plant. The victims were labourers who were repairing the Jindal bridge and according to reports, they hailed from Saharsa and Khagaria districts of Bihar.

According to reports, the driver was in an i20 car and while driving, he lost control and bumped into the divider of the bridge. After breaking the railings of the bridge, the car fell from a height of 70 feet where the men were sleeping.
Based on the report of the Hisar police official Harish Bhardwaj, the repair work started two days back and the workers were supposed to resume to work the next morning.
In the car, the driver was accompanied by two other people and were on their way to Hansi. The police spokesperson has reported that the driver also got injured in the accident and has been admitted to civil hospital along with the other people in the car.
