Baramulla: A terrorist linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was gunned down in the Binner area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.
The terrorist that was killed is identified as Irshad Ahmed Bhat of Pattan who was said to be active since May 2022.
The police further added they recovered one AK rifle, two magazines, and 30 rounds during the probe.
It is the third encounter that was carried out by police and army to gundown extremists in the area. Earlier, two more terrorists were caught when they tried to escape near Dangiwacha. Two pistol magazines, along with 11 live cartridges were recovered from them as quoted by ANI.
The recent crackdown by Police is carried out after terror groups started targeting civilians in the valley in the past few months.
