She added that “After a great deal with deliberation I have made a very difficult decision to settle the defamation case against me by my ex-husband in Virginia.”

Amber said this is “not an act of concession” and added, “The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I’m heartbroken that mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband.”

Earlier the Virginia court jury awarded $10.35 million in damages to Johnny Depp and $ 2 million to Amber Heard in connection with the case.

In a statement, the Lawyers of Johnny Depp added, “We are pleased to formally close the door on this painful chapter for Mr. Depp, who made clear throughout this process that his priority was bringing the truth to light,”.
