Mumbai: Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Tuesday alleged that MP Shrikant Shinde, son of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, has given a contract to attack him.
Sanjay Raut in a letter to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Thane Police commissioner claimed that “I have received information that a notorious goon Raja Thakur of Thane has been given a contract by Shrikant Shinde to kill me.”
The letter further added that “After the change of government in Maharashtra, my security was withdrawn. I don’t have any complaints about it. Such political decisions keep happening. Looking at the current situation in Maharashtra, this issue needs to be brought to your attention.”
Talking about the letter, Raut added that “Through few of our reliable sources, I got to know that Shrikanth Shinde gave a contract to gangster Raja Thakur to kill me.”
He further added that “It’s my duty to inform the Deputy CM, CP and point out the law and order situation here. I don’t want any security.”
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray demanded the state government to look into the matter seriously.
