Date:

New Delhi: After Seema Haider and Sachin, another cross-border love story of a South Korean woman with her Uttar Pradesh (UP) based boyfriend is making the headlines.

India’s Sukhjit Singh and South Korea’s Kim Boh Ni were in a live-in relationship for the last four years and had recently decided to get married.

Kim Boh Ni flew all the way from Korea to UP’s Shahjahanpur district to marry the love of her life Sukhjit. The couple got married at Gurudwara Nanak Bagh in Shahjahanpur’s Puwayan.

According to a report by India Today, the couple fell in love when Sukhjit Singh flew to South Korea’s Busan in search of work. It all started in a coffee shop. Sukhjit met Kim at the coffee shop where he was working. She worked at the same coffee shop’s billing counter.

In a statement to India Today, Sukhjit Singh shared how he overcame the language barrier for the sake of life. He learned to speak Korean in a matter of just a few months. He said, ‘I overcame the language problem between me and Kim in two to four months and learned the Korean language. After being in a live-in relationship for 4 years with the permission of our families, both of us decided to get married.’

The two decided to get married only after, Sukhjit visited India for six months, during which Kim decided to fly across the globe to surprise her boyfriend. The couple tied the knot two days ago. As of now the two of them are staying at Sukhjit’s farmhouse in Shahjahanpur post their marriage.

However, Kim Boh Ni is in India on a tourist visa for five years. She will leave for South Korea after a month and Sukhjit will join her three months after that. The couple have decided to start their new life in South Korea.
