A picture showing water slides coming out of homes into a giant pool is doing the rounds on social media. Many users claim it is Santorini in Greece.

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found its to be false.
The NM team noticed that the humans in the picture looked a bit different, raising a suspicion of the image being generated by AI. And, running a Reverse Image Search of the viral picture, we found an Instagram Post on an unverified profile, dated August 27, 2023. The caption of the picture suggests that it has been generated using AI and the credits have been given to a creator by the username, @_prspctivs.
Searching further, we checked the tagged account @_prspctivs, and found the same image published on August 6, 2023. As per the user’s profile, he is an architectural designer who posts many such AI-generated images.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show a picture of Santorini, Greece, with slides and a swimming pool, is false.
