FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post and found it to be fake.

Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, the NM team identified a YouTube video, dated April 24, 2019, on an unverified channel. The description of the video suggests that it is untrue.

Checking further, we found a Facebook post, dated April 21, 2019, on the verified profile of Anubhav Mohanty — an Odia actor and BJD MP. The video posted by Mohanty debunks the viral video. He has blamed BJP Odisha for tampering with the video, revealing their real face. People will definitely answer this.

Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik was smoking a cigarette inside a bus, is false.
